This Call of Duty video comes from a young man who wants to get somewhere in the IT industry. The reason I’m posting this is that if you watch the video and listen to the commentary then it really is very well done. He’s into the technicalities of the game, but managing to explain what you are seeing in an engaging way. There is potential here for a great future in the game industry - or as a TV or web presenter on the subject of games.
I’ve seen adults do what is doing with far less skill.
He’s already doing the right thing - using Twitter and YouTube to give himself a platform and audience.
You might wonder why I’m recommending you to a blog about web site design? It’s a very fair question. If you take a good look at Web Design Tool Case you’ll find that it is not just a technical codex. Its full of inspirational design material.
Very handy if you want to create a web site to support your great works, and very handy if web creation is your thing and you want to see some new ideas. Some of the material thought aimed at the web is helpful on good old fashioned design too. So something for everyone.
Epic Nature collects nature photographs from all over the web. In fact as the name suggests these are “Epic” shots. Sometimes the word epic gets overused - but in fact these really are great images. The photos tend to attract a good number of comments. I’m certainly looking forward to seeing more images curated on this blog

I’m writing a blog post at an Internet Access Centre using Microsoft’s new Word Web App. The experience is just like using MS Word itself. I’ll admit the web app has fewer features than its massive desktop big brother; but it certainly seems to have what counts for the job of actually writing.
My work is getting saved to SkyDrive but when I get back to base I can easily open it up on my desktop for further work. Should I feel the need to. Though right now the answer is - would I need to? There’s enough meat on the bones of this web app to fill the need of writing a post.
What does this mean if you are a writer. Well for starters so long as you have a decent Internet connection you have an additional word processing tool at your disposal. One that is free and available wherever you go and that has plenty of storage. I’m jotting this post down now and it feels a lot like using Word. There is comfort and speed to this typing. I know that I can pick it up again when I get home. I also know that I can share it if I need to.
This is both Word on the go and Word for people who want word processing for free.
This is a word that I would encourage you to try out at http://office.live.com
